erf , as planned, this year will begin sea trials. The ship is currently completing a complex of mooring tests. In addition, he is fully prepared for the arrival of the crew.
Corvette "Soobrazitelny" is the first serial ship of Project 20380, developed for the Russian Navy at the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau. The head corvette of this series "Guarding", for the creation of which a group of workers of "Severnaya Verf" was awarded state awards, in 2008 became part of the Baltic Fleet. Also at Severnaya Verf, the construction of Boiky and Stoyky corvettes is underway. In the coming years, they should be part of our fleet. These ships are designed to operate in the near sea zone and fight against surface ships and submarines of the enemy, as well as for artillery support of amphibious assault forces during amphibious operations by delivering missile and artillery strikes against ships and ships at sea and bases, patrolling the zone of responsibility for the purpose of blockade.
As it is planned, already at the end of October the launching of the lead frigate of one of the projects - Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov, which was laid down on the stocks of Severnaya Verf in 2006, will take place. The frigates of this project are designed to conduct combat operations in the far and near sea zones, as well as to participate in solving various tasks in the ocean zone. Severnaya Verf is also building a serial ship of this project, Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov.
Today "Severnaya Verf" is one of the largest shipbuilding enterprises in Russia, with almost a century of history and specializing in the construction of warships for the Navy. For example, on ships built by Severnaya Verf, the so-called longitudinal recruitment system was used for the first time in the world. The designers of Severnaya Verf created the first ship-based steam turbine. The destroyer built by Severnaya Verf became the carrier of the first anti-ship cruise missile. And the missile cruisers of Severnaya Verf became the first domestic surface ships capable of carrying nuclear weapons. The ships were also equipped with the world's first ship-based gas turbines, as well as the first helicopter landing pads in the history of the fleet.
At present, Severnaya Verf has qualified human resources and technical capabilities to build ships and vessels with a maximum displacement of up to 12 thousand tons and a launch weight of up to 7 thousand tons. But at "Severnaya Verf" they not only build, but also restore ships. So, the specialists of this particular enterprise recently completed the restoration of the British cruiser Belfast - the only artillery ship in Europe - a participant in World War II, which has survived to this day. This ship took part in the delivery of goods to the USSR during the war.
