So, we continue to study the content of the report of Admiral Mankovsky, and this is what he writes next there:
“On the 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th, the Detachment was engaged in boat exercises in the morning. On the evening of the 22nd, a full illumination was lit, to which the Montenegrins, in response, lit fires on the mountains, arranging them so that they got the inscription: "Live Tsar Nicholas II". The Governor arranged a lunch on the shore for the officers of the Detachment, to which they responded with a lunch for the coastal authorities on the Tsesarevich. It was very fresh for two days, so I had to stand under the steam. When the team was dismissed ashore, the local population greeted them very cordially, and they were given a free treat with cigarettes, beer, fruits, etc.
Flagship battleship "Tsesarevich", 1913, Portland.
On the 24th, at 6 pm, as mentioned above, I returned to the Tsarevich.
On the 25th of August in the morning there was a boat training, and after noon the luggage of the Grand Dukes NIKOLAI NIKOLAEVICH and PETER NIKOLAEVICH and their families was taken on board. On this day, the prince DANILO arrived at his Palace from Antivari. In the evening, illumination was lit on the ships, and rockets were fired.
On the 26th at 10 o'clock in the morning, Grand Dukes NIKOLAI and PETER NIKOLAEVICH arrived in Antitivari, Grand Duchess ANASTASIA and MILITSA NIKOLAEVNA, Prince SERGEY GEORGIEVICH and Princess ELENA GEORGIEVNA and MARINA from the rise of Petryarovna fired 21, and upon arrival at the "Tsarevich" the flag was raised on it, and mine was transferred to the "Rurik". At II hour 5 minutes, HIS MAJESTY King Nicholas I, Korolevichs DANILO and PETER boarded a boat at the pier, and the Montenegrin Standard was raised on it. The detachment blossomed with flags and saluted the Standart. Upon the arrival of the King on the "Tsarevich", the Standard was raised on it next to the flag of the Grand Duke. Following the King, the faces of the retinue and guests arrived. At the second hour. 20 minutes in the Admiralty room "Tsarevich" there was a breakfast for 56 people. At 1 o'clock in the afternoon, the Grand Duke proclaimed a toast to the health of the Field Marshal of the Russian Army, King Nicholas I, after which the courts fired a salute of 19 shots. At 1 o'clock. 30 minutes of the day HIS MAJESTY King Nicholas I and Korolevich DANILO and PETER, followed by their retinue and guests invited to breakfast, drove ashore. The Standard was lowered on the Tsesarevich, and the ships fired 21 shots. At 1 o'clock 40 minutes, on the order of HIS MAJESTY, a signal was raised: "HIS MAJESTY The King of Montenegro gladly greets the St. Andrew's flag in the Black Sea waters and wishes him victory and glory." At 2 o'clock. For 30 minutes the detachment weighed anchor and went to Fiyme. The passengers on the "Tsesarevich", in addition to the persons brought to the Detachment in Antivari, were Grand Duke PETR NIKOLAEVICH with his wife MILITSIA NIKOLAEVNA and daughter MARINA PETROVNA. The fortress fired a salute of 21 shots, to which the "Tsarevich" responded with an equal number. At 2 o'clock. For 45 minutes, the detachment lined up in a wake column and gave 14 knots, which was necessary for an early arrival in Fiyme, no later than 4 o'clock in the afternoon. At 10 o'clock in the evening "Tsarevich", by order of the Grand Duke, lowered the flag of the Grand Duke and raised the braid - a pennant.
On the 27th at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, the "Tsarevich" lowered the braid - the pennant of the Grand Duke and my flag was transferred from the "Rurik" to the "Tsarevich". Upon arrival at the roadstead Fiyme at 2 o'clock. 30 minutes "Tsarevich" exchanged a salute at 21 shots with the coastal battery, and at 2 o'clock. For 45 minutes I anchored in a line along the breakwater in the same places. I put "Admiral Makarov" to the east of the others. Between 3 o'clock. For 50 minutes and for 5 hours, Grand Duke NIKOLAY NIKOLAEVICH toured the detachment's courts in turn and thanked the officers and the team. On each ship, HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY visited the officers' wardroom. At 6 o'clock, a farewell dinner took place on the "Tsarevich", to which, in addition to myself and the staff of the Headquarters, the Commanders of all the ships of the Detachment were invited. At 7 o'clock. 10 minutes The tallest passengers with their retinue departed ashore, where a special train was waiting for them at the harbor embankment. At 7 o'clock. 25 minutes The train started moving. I escorted THEIR IMPERIAL HIGHLIGHTS from the harbor to the train station, where the carriages occupied by them were attached to a courier train bound for Vienna.
On the 28th at 6 o'clock. 30 minutes in the morning the Austrian cruiser "Kaiser Karl VI" came to the raid under the flag of the full Admiral. At 8 o'clock he exchanged a salute with him and at the same time sent with congratulations the Flag Officer, who, upon his return, reported that Admiral MONTEKUKULI was on the cruiser. In ½ hour, an Austrian officer arrived on the "Tsarevich" with a return visit, who said that the Admiral was on the shore and would return at about 10 o'clock. Since at 10 o'clock he was not there, and I had agreed in advance to go ashore at that time with visits, so I with the Flag-Captain, accompanied by the Consul, left for the city. Visited the head of the Academy and Maritime Station Counter Admiral Edler von Kunsti, the Maritime Governor and Mayor. I returned at about 2 1/2 o'clock. At the second hour. The Governor arrived with a return visit for 45 minutes and at the same time returned to the Austrian cruiser Admiral. After leaving the Governor and saluting him, at 12 o'clock with the Flag-Captain and the Commander of the "Tsarevich" I went on a visit to the Austrian cruiser. On the gangplank I was met by the Headquarters Officer, who said that the Admiral could not receive me, since he was having breakfast and had guests. At this time, music was playing on the quarterdecks, but not a march, but some kind of aria and did not stop playing even when the boat moored to the gangway. When I got off, they didn't fire me up. Upon returning to the ship, I ordered, during the return visit of Admiral MONTEKUKULI, to say that I was not at home, not to call the music and fireworks. At about 3 o'clock, Admiral MONTEKUKULI arrived at the gangway by motor boat. He was met at the bottom of the ladder by Flag-Captain and told him that I was not at home. The admiral asked me to convey that he did not salute me, since during my visit there was a rest, and asked him not to salute. Having waited for the salute before sunset and did not receive it, and knowing that the cruiser was about to leave at night, I sent the Flag-Captain to his Commander or Flag-Captain, if there was one, with a statement that I had not received the following salute. Flag-Captain found the cruiser ready to leave in half an hour, but the Commander was still on the shore, and therefore conveyed my instructions to the Senior Officer with a request to inform about the subsequent order through the officer. ½ hour later, an officer arrived from the cruiser and said that the cruiser would remain until morning and would fire a salute at 8 o'clock.
On August 29, at 8 o'clock in the morning, the Austrian cruiser fired a 13-round salute with the raising of the Russian flag on the foremast, after which it weighed anchor and left.
On August 30, at 2 pm, a coal steamer called from there came from Suda, chartered for a detachment with 4,000 tons of Cardif coal, and upon completion of port formalities, immediately to "Admiral Makarov". At 1 o'clock in the afternoon, "Admiral Makarov" began loading coal and by 2 o'clock in the morning received 500 tons.
On the 31st at 6 o'clock in the morning the coal miner approached the "Tsarevich", who immediately began to take coal from him. At 3 o'clock in the afternoon, he released the cruiser "Admiral Makarov" to the Court, having previously said goodbye to its personnel.
During both stops in Fiyme, due to the inconvenience of receiving water from the shore on longboats and the lack of local water-filled vessels, a steam aquarius, which came both times from Pola, was at my disposal free of charge.
During the month of August, every day, except for the period of celebrations in Montenegro, classes were conducted both with students as combatant non-commissioned officers and with naval midshipmen. The state of health of the officers, naval midshipmen and crew is satisfactory.
Counter Admiral Mankovsky"
A copy of the decoded telegram of the head of the Baltic Detachment Counter Admiral Mankovsky from Fiyme dated August 9, 1910, No. 137.
Minister of the Sea.
Yesterday I paid a visit to the Austrian admiral Montekukuli, was not received under the pretext that guests were having breakfast at the admiral's. I did not receive a salute when I rolled it off. Three hours later I paid a visit, I did not accept, saying through Flag-Captain that I was not on the ship. The admiral said that he did not salute me due to the time of rest and asked him not to salute. After waiting until the flag was lowered, he demanded a salute, which he received today at 8 in the morning.

And of course, the main source of information about how the huge Austrian squadron came to the roadstead and threatened our three ships, and our "sailors slept, without undressing, at the guns all night", should be … the logbook of the battleship "Tsesarevich".

So, the formidable squadron of Austrians dissolved like smoke, no one, without undressing at the cannons, slept, no one opened the cruise cameras, no shells were fed to the guns, no one was going to die for the flag. It's just that the two admirals quarreled a little - well, it happens. Look what some "writers" have made of this, what they have turned this fact into. Well, in conclusion, I would like to say that our Russian history is so glorious both for exploits and examples of serving honor and duty, so that, without even looking at the available archival documents, shamelessly lie about it, and even spread this lie in “Wikipedia ", and thus disgrace yourself and your great country all over the world!
