As part of the 2010 Farnborough International Aerospace Show in the UK, Lockheed Martin Business Development Director Bill McHenry said at a press conference that the latest modifications of the F-16 are the world's most advanced fighter jets. fourth generation.

According to him, the F-16 is a modern, very efficient and affordable fighter aircraft for potential buyers. The existing orders allow us to load the production line for the assembly of aircraft with work until 2013, there is a possibility of receiving new orders, which will extend the production of fighters for several more years. The company is even behind schedule with 86 aircraft, with an order recently received to produce 20 new advanced F-16 Advanced Block 50/52 fighters for the Egyptian Air Force.

Since the beginning of the F-16 program, more than 4450 aircraft of this type have been produced for more than 30 years, including for the air forces of 14 countries of the world.

Lockheed Martin continues to equip F-16 fighters with fifth-generation airborne systems to ensure compatibility with F-22 and F-35 aircraft. “This integration of advanced technology enables F-16 countries to move smoothly across the natural bridge to operate fifth generation fighters,” McHenry says.

Currently, a modification of the F-16C / D Advanced Block 50/52 is being produced for the Air Forces of Turkey, Pakistan, Morocco and Egypt. The United Arab Emirates purchased the F-16E / F Block 60 version, which is the base for the F-16IN Super Viper proposed by the Indian Air Force as part of the MMRCA tender.

The aircraft is equipped with the most modern technologies and features that are available today. This is an airborne radar with an active phased array, the ability to autonomously intercept air targets, all-weather and high accuracy of combat use at any time of the day. The latest advances in avionics, sensors and weapons, as well as a comfortable cockpit and a high level of integration of onboard systems, provide F-16 pilots with a high degree of situational awareness.
