Lately, there has been a lot and persistent talk about the humanization of the Russian armed forces. However, as often happens, we say one thing in words, but in practice we have something completely different. Hazing from the Russian army has not gone anywhere, soldiers periodically die. And the decisions made by senior officers, in some cases, defy any reasonable explanation at all. The last case of "military cretinism" took place in the Nizhny Novgorod region in the garrison of a military unit in Mulino, which had already gained notoriety before that.
Another scandal is connected with the fact that the leadership of one of the military units of the Mulinsky garrison during the inspection took out sick soldiers from the territory of the medical unit. It is reported that servicemen with acute respiratory infections and bronchitis were without medical assistance for 3 days. At the same time, the soldiers had to sit in a cold room located on a shooting range. The alarm about this case was sounded only after the mother of one of the conscripts, who was hiding at the training ground, turned to the "Committee of Soldiers' Mothers". The woman said that her son and several dozen other colleagues were forced to "sit quietly and not stick out."
According to Natalya Zhukova, the head of the Nizhny Novgorod Committee of Soldiers' Mothers, 38 conscripts were taken to the shooting range, where they spent 12-13 hours every day, studying the charter instead of treatment. At the same time, only 12 people remained in the medical unit - those who already had a high temperature, and it was dangerous to transport them. It is worth noting that in a kind of storage, conscripts were really hard pressed. The low air temperature forced the conscripts to cuddle up to the only warm radiator in the room. The "game of hide and seek" ended only after the high authorities of the Western Military District left the unit, who visited it with checks.
Apparently, the leadership of the military unit feared that a large number of sick people in the infirmary would raise unnecessary questions about how this could happen. One way or another, the military foreheads, it is difficult to call them in another way, decided to send sick people out of sight. At the same time, without thinking at all that, replacing the drugs and the hospital with a cold room and cramming the regulations, they will only aggravate the soldiers' illness. So in the end it happened, some of the conscripts from such a sitting at the training ground earned serious complications.
The parents of the sick soldiers complain that the command of the unit shows no concern for the personnel at all. As an example, they cited the case when, after a five-kilometer run on skis, the team was built on the parade ground, where it stood for 1.5 hours. During this standing in the cold, the sweating soldiers could get massively ill. At the same time, the unit commander may have thought that in this way he tempered the servicemen.
As soon as this story with the sick became known to the public and journalists, the military prosecutor's office of the Mulinsky garrison promptly carried out a check. As a result of the check, it was possible to establish that in the period from 14 to 16 January 2013, the servicemen who were being treated at the medical center of military unit No. 30683, at the direction of the command, namely the unit commander, Colonel Kirill Sukhoruchenko, were taken to the shooting range for the time of the check of the unit by their superior headquarters. The deputy military prosecutor of the Mulinsky garrison Alexey Miloserdov told the journalists about this. The leadership of the military unit took this step in order to show the imaginary well-being on the issue of the incidence of military personnel.
The prosecutor's office told reporters that conscripts were kept in a room that, while at the training ground, is used to heat servicemen. At the same time, at lunchtime, all the soldiers returned to the military unit, after which they were again taken away from the eyes of the inspectors. They stayed at the test site until the evening. Also, during the investigation, it was established that there were forged documents on the part of the commanders of the military unit. In particular, the commanding staff, represented by Colonel Kirill Sukhorudchenko, according to reports, discharged sick servicemen on the day of the check, but after the inspector left, the unit commander ordered to correct the date of discharge of servicemen in the papers to valid ones.
After all the details of this rather loud story became known, the leadership of the "safe" unit was punished. As you understand, no resignations, landings or demotions followed. The unit commander, Colonel Sukhoruchenko, was disciplined and severely reprimanded. In addition, the prosecutor of the Mulinsky garrison issued a warning to him about the inadmissibility of violating the law. The head of the military unit's medical service, senior lieutenant Yakin, also received a severe reprimand. At the same time, the materials on this fact were transferred to the military investigation department for a decision.
The most interesting thing is that this is not the first case of mass illness of soldiers in the Mulinsky garrison. In the fall of 2011, at the Mulinsky training ground, about 30 conscripts fell ill with pneumonia, one of them died. Earlier, on an even larger scale (up to several hundred soldiers), cases of SARS and pneumonia were noted in Voronezh, and one conscript was also killed. And in December 2010 in Yugra (Kemerovo region) more than 200 soldiers were hospitalized with colds. Taking this into account, it is all the more surprising that the command of the units does not learn any lessons from this, maybe the whole point is the lack of adequate punishment for such violations?
If we talk about the military garrison of Mulino outside of the case with colds among military personnel, then quite a few sad stories emerge. For this, it is not even particularly necessary to carry out long searches on the Internet. So on August 13, 2012, in one of the premises of the bath and laundry complex of military unit No. 06709 in Mulino, a dead 19-year-old conscript from Saratov Dmitry Bochkarev was found. His body bore the marks of numerous injuries. A criminal case was opened in connection with the violent death of the serviceman. It turned out that the soldier had been bullied by his colleague for 2 weeks, with whom they were guarding the bath complex.
Earlier, on July 28, 2012, in military unit No. 06709, Private Sergei Aleksandrov (served only a month) shot a junior sergeant. According to the conclusion of military doctors, Aleksandrov suffers from a chronic mental disorder in the form of paranoid schizophrenia. After establishing this fact, he was transferred from the pre-trial detention center to the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Psychoneurological Hospital. Kashchenko. At the same time, the question remains how a young man with such a diagnosis could even end up in the ranks of the armed forces and get a weapon in his hands.
In the same 2012, on May 2, at a military training ground in Mulino, one of the guided anti-tank missiles exploded while unloading ammunition from a vehicle. As a result, 5 servicemen were killed at the scene of the explosion, another one died later in the hospital, and 3 soldiers were wounded by shrapnel. All those killed were conscripts.
In 2008, on the night of November 18, a 25-year-old platoon commander in Mulino shot and killed a contract serviceman from Dagestan, and also wounded two of his friends. According to the preliminary version of the investigation, the victims extorted money from the officer, according to another version, the suspect refused to return the debt to them.
In 2006, there were at least 3 incidents in the garrison that were covered in the media. On April 19, a conscript soldier was found hanged in a forest belt not far from the unit. Earlier on April 5, a conscript was killed during a training exercise. The self-propelled guns controlled by him went under water and the soldier drowned. Also in 2006, the captain of this military unit beat a conscript soldier to a state of paralysis.
