Service in the army … What is this - a tribute to tradition? Archaism? Or just a habit of the state?
At a time when specialists are appreciated, when everything is decided exclusively by professionals in their field, moreover, equipped with the latest technical developments - who, for what purpose, might need a giant ORDA, I'm not afraid of this word, young guys who can't do anything? Without experience, without any significant professional skills, with completely suppressed imagination and initiative - in the army they do not reason there, only follow orders.
Two hundred, three hundred years ago, the hopelessness of creating an army of non-professional warriors was clearly understood - that is why people served then all their lives, improving in the craft of a soldier. Later, after the serfdom, which allowed to dispose of human destinies with impunity, was abolished, the armies began to reorganize on a cadre basis …. But then the world warriors burst out. Firearms have proven to be effective. Equip an ordinary peasant with them, teach them the basics of shooting - and if at least one of the paths given to him finds a target, he will already justify the costs of the state. And even then, it's funny to say what the costs are - they did not raise, did not feed, only they gave out the weapon - so it did not go anywhere, as soon as it dies - you can give it to the next meat …
The states, having placed the burden of raising new soldiers on the civilian part of the country, in fact, parasitizes, taking away young, strong guys and returning cripples … or zinc coffins. This measure, at least somehow justified during the period of waging world wars, when everything was decided by the number of firing machine guns, became completely unnecessary with the appearance on the forefront of more and more complex and important equipment requiring not quantity, but QUALITY of military personnel. Why do we have everything in the old fashioned way, as at the beginning of the 20th century?
As always, everything rests on the main whales of all global problems: politics, economics and psychology of those in power. All this is closely interconnected, but let's try to figure it out separately:
Politics is, first of all, the possibility of moral blackmail of the leaderships of other countries. And what is more weighty for such blackmail: millions of armies of soldiers walking beautifully on the parade grounds or several regiments of pros, even if the latter are much more effective? Of course, the first one. Aplomb, brilliance, VISIBILITY are important in politics. When spies of neighboring states report that in Russia there are many parts around each city, no one would even think of doubting the strength of such formations … They themselves do not go there, but sometimes they only see the show, so beloved by the ceremonial generals.
Economy. Let's be honest - young, strong, healthy guys who work for clothes and grub for a year are a tidbit for any economist. It can be said without exaggeration that modern soldiers are SLAVES, obedient and dumb, carrying out the will of those who command them. It is not for nothing that politicians, economists, anyone else - but not regular military men - have become defense minister many times.
Psychology. It is as straightforward and straightforward as it is outrageous. Have you ever played toy soldiers? And with the living soldiers? The favorite pastime of the kings of past centuries never ceases to touch today's politicians. For the sake of such an exciting hobby, it is not a sin to create a small war - well, small, local … Like children in a nursery, provided that an apartment is a country controlled by politics. And such warriors can drag on for decades, delighting politicians with their sharpness … Can anything be changed? Not only is it possible, but it should be. Even leaving aside moral and ethical standards, such games have a very strong effect on the country's defense capability, making us wary of more practical neighbors.
And there is a way out! Quite simple and lying on the surface - it is useless to scream and moan about honor and justice, you will not be heard. It is only economically necessary to influence a modern, mercenary, rotten society through and through! Need to serve? Good. No questions. But provide proper conditions and PAY for military labor of conscripts. Nowhere, in any constitution, is it written that they are obliged to serve FREE OF CHARGE !!!!! Are you injured or disabled? Demand worthy compensation, do not be content with crumbs, go to the courts !!!! Mothers who have lost their sons! I know that the very thought of money is often in your blood, but - sue, demand the largest possible sums! Remember - every court won is a step towards a professional, contract army, an army that will not only be able to adequately protect you, but also give other teenagers the right to CHOOSE without crippling their souls …
