The sniper is by far the most fearsome of enemies, as he can kill from a great distance. The existing methods of protection against snipers depend on the type or sound of the first shot, that is, they are triggered at a time when it may be too late. But now a new device has appeared that uses the red-eye effect and spreads it over hundreds of meters
It can recognize the presence of binoculars, a telescopic sight, a camera, or even a pair of eyes looking closely at you. This means that this is the first car that will warn you around the clock that they have begun to examine you or have been targeted, before a shot is fired.
This is what a camera looks like for observing
The CS300K ™ long-range anti-tracking camera is the brainchild of high-tech surveillance equipment company JETprotect. Surely this device will prove to be a suitable addition to the security system for those who pay a lot of money to trained security guards looking at CCTV monitors.
“The new technology combines a unique wavelength GigE Vision camera with a digitally controlled Class IIIb laser illuminator for night operations,” said Gregory Johnston, CTO at JETprotect. “When we combined them with surDET ™, an automatic detection software, we came up with a system that protects you from bloodhounds around the clock and automatically alerts and records an event.”
“The combination of CS300K ™ and surDET ™ warns the target of a threat before the first shot is fired. The system continuously searches for those looking through binoculars or telescopic sight,”added Johnston.
Chuck Scifers, director of business development, said the initial market for the new system would be the military, as well as security companies that protect important people, such as diplomats or other people who might be at risk. “We believe the new product could be a valuable addition to the security programs these companies offer to their customers,” said Scyphers.
